A new group has been set up to enjoy occasional trips to ballets and musicals in Glasgow. So far, two members have enjoyed Scottish Ballet's Mary, Queen of Scots - which they both found enthralling - and several members are booked to see The Red Shoes, a new production by Matther Bourne, in January 2026. 

Various other trips may be in the offing, including to the Royal Ballet and Opera screenings at the very comfortable Everyman Cinema in Glasgow, and student performances at the Royal Conservatoire. 

Also being considered for 2026 are visits to Top Hat, at the King's Theatre, Glasgow, and Scottish Ballet's Starstruck at the Theatre Royal.
